About Birchwood Forum
Launched in 1996 by a core group of developers together with private and public sector organisations, Birchwood Forum was established to enhance and maintain Birchwood as a strong economic community with businesses working in partnership and investing in the future together.
The Forum is a vehicle for consultation by Warrington Borough Council and Cheshire and Warrington Economic Alliance. It is recognised by the North West Regional Development Agency as a strong business focussed organisation which profiles and acts on major issues including travel, transport, regeneration and environmental management. Forum members meet monthly to network, hear fresh information on a broad range of topics, exchange news, ideas and information.
The Encounter Sculpture located at Junction 11 of the M62 has received national acclaim through press and broadcast media. The Forum supports the work of The Birchwood Partnership which it launched in 2005 to provide a link with community organisations and residents, and develop projects to strengthen the community.
