Birchwood is a significant European business park and one of the UK’s success stories

Launched in 1996 by a core group of developers together with private and public sector organisations, Birchwood Forum was established to enhance and maintain Birchwood as a strong economic community with Birchwood & Warrington businesses working in partnership and investing in the future together.

Birchwood is a significant European business park and one of the UK’s success stories. It is home to 12,000 residents and the 400 businesses located in the area employ 17,000 people from across the region. It continually attracts new business to the developments.

Birchwood Forum members represent all sectors of business and industry, distribution and logistics, energy and high tech industries, hospitality, manufacturing, retail, together with education and public sector organisations.

The Forum is recognised across the region as a strong business focussed organisation which profiles and acts on major issues that affect its members delivering fresh information not normally available to the public.

Its landmark Encounter Sculpture bringing together business and community is located at Junction 11 of the M62 Gateway to Birchwood. The sculpture has received national acclaim through press and broadcast media.
