Engineering & Technology Solutions Exhibition

11th July 2017

Nu-Tech Exhibitions + Events is pleased to confirm it will be working with the support of the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (NAMRC), Nuclear Institute, National Skills Academy (Nuclear), North West Nuclear Forum and Amec Foster Wheeler in hosting a new ‘Engineering & Technology Solutions Exhibition’ to meet the supply chain needs of Sellafield Ltd and its Tier 2 contractor organisations located in the North West’s nuclear ‘hub’ at Birchwood in Warrington.

In hosting a supply chain exhibition focussing on Engineering & Technology Solutions we will provide a forum for suppliers looking to explore new markets, transfer technology, launch innovative ideas, showcase equipment & services or reaffirm existing customer relationships Sellafield Ltd and its main contractors based in Warrington.

Over the next few years Sellafield Ltd will have an annual budget of around £2bn per annum to support an ongoing mission to keep the Sellafield site in Cumbria safe and secure, whilst accelerating risk and hazard reduction and delivering value for money for the UK. Delivering the Sellafield mission requires a diverse and vibrant supply chain and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are integral to this. By 2020, some 31% of Sellafield Ltd’s spend, whether direct or indirectly, is planned to be with SMEs. To assist large and small businesses to collaborate and secure business, we are launching our new Engineering & Technology Solutions Exhibition at Birchwood in the heart of the North West’s cluster of nuclear businesses.

Home to a significant number of Sellafield’s Engineering Design Team, Birchwood Park is also the base for several large nuclear companies, including Aecom, Amec Foster Wheeler, Atkins, Areva, Nuvia, NES Ansaldo and Rolls-Royce, who are conveniently located near to the exhibition venue in a purpose-built exhibition marquee adjacent to the Birchwood Conference Centre & Restaurant.

Complementing our exhibition, we will also have the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre’s state-of-the-art demonstration Mantra vehicle on display and Amec Foster Wheeler will also be hosting ‘guided tours’ of their high-tech Birchwood facility where their engineering and scientific capabilities, including robotics technology, will be on display.

As a natural focal point of the Birchwood Park, the Conference Centre Restaurant welcomes hundreds of Park tenants each day and our exhibition will be ideally situated to capture the managers, engineers, designers, technologists and procurement specialists who will be invited to attend this event. It will provide a unique opportunity for suppliers to engage with key individuals responsible for the assessment, specification, acquisition or purchasing of engineering and technology which will be required to meet the needs of this wide-ranging remit.

This is a great opportunity for suppliers to meet and network with Sellafield Ltd and its Tier 2 contractors who are actively seeking engineering and technology solutions that might help meet their on-going and anticipated needs. At rates of just £195 plus VAT per square metre to exhibit, this is a highly cost effective way of bringing your products and expertise in front of those who are actively seeking solutions. Included in the cost of exhibiting will be exhibition space footprint (you just need to bring your own pop up display stand), table, chairs, access to power, unlimited refreshments throughout the day, buffet lunch, exhibitor lanyard for your own ID badge and a free 25-word listing in the exhibition e-catalogue which will be issued to visitors after the event as a lasting reminder of your capabilities. Due to its proximity to our target audience and inevitable popularity, this is an ‘exclusive’ event with only a limited number of exhibition spaces for suppliers.
