The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) is making a difference by supporting sustained growth and higher skills across the economy.
BIS: working together for growth
HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) was formed on the 18 April 2005, following the merger of Inland Revenue and HM Customs and Excise Departments. Work is still continuing on our office restructuring programme. We are here to ensure the correct tax is paid at the right time, whether this relates to payment of taxes received by the department or entitlement to benefits paid.
Mission in the Economy (MitE) is an ecumenical Christian Charity that provides chaplaincy services to business, public and voluntary communities in Liverpool, Warrington, St Helens and beyond. Our chaplains provide a listening ear, support and friendship to people of all faiths and none. MitE Chaplain Jennifer Beaumont is based in the Centre at Birchwood Park and is available to all people working in and around the area.
UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) works with UK-based businesses to ensure their success in international markets, and encourage the best overseas companies to look to the UK as their global partner of choice.
